Hugo Perez
(Miguel)
Hugo Perez was born in Allende Coahuila, Mexico,
and later moved to Austin, Texas - a city he now calls home.
Perez started acting in 2001, and soon after appeared in Ariel
Dorfmans onstage drama, Death and The Maiden. Based
out of Austin and Albuquerque, New Mexico, Perez quickly impressed
casting directors and filmmakers, earning a resume of impressive
credits. |
A versatile actor, Perez has appeared in a wide
selection of films, including Friday Night Lights, starring
Billy Bob Thornton; Fast Food Nation, starring Wilmer
Valderrama; Harold & Kumar Escape Guantanamo Bay, starring
John Cho and Kal Pen; Middle of Nowhere, starring Susan
Sarandon; and Machete, directed by Robert Rodriguez and
starring Jessica Alba and Robert De Niro. It was the film
Goodfellas, starring De Niro, that inspired Perez to become
an actor. He said his career reached a milestone when he worked
with De Niro in Machete and became one of the guys.
On television, Perez has appeared in a variety
of hit shows, including the two-time Emmy nominated miniseries
The Lost Room, as well as Wildfire, Prison Break, Dallas
and A&Es wildly popular television series Longmire.
Perezs upcoming films include Dear Sidewalk,
starring Joseph Mazzello; and
50 to 1, starring Skeet Ulrich, Christian Kane and William
Devane.
Perez is a graduate of the University of Texas
at San Antonio and is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. |
